featured breastfeeding story
After finding out her daughter would be born with a Congenital Heart Defect and Down syndrome, a mom fights to have a breastfeeding relationship with her daughter and donates over 23,000 of breastmilk, after having issues with oversupply to other babies in need!
*Serving ALL moms Tip*
Skin To Skin contact doesn’t just have to be right after baby is born or for premature babies! When you have a dip in supply just do some extra skin to skin with your little bubs(or princess)! Believe me it will work like a charm!
Did you know that skin to skin is called Kangaroo care because snuggling your baby close to you is similar to the mama Kangaroo's pouch.
It is said that even decades later skin to skin has long lasting effects! One study done showed that as adults the babies that had skin to skin had less aggressive behaviors and were less impulsive and hyperactive!
So not only can it help increased milk production, it has long lasting effects, not just for the baby but the mother as well! When we breastfeed or pump our bodies release a hormone called dopamine and oxytocin. That gushy feeling you get when breastfeeding your baby is exactly that! It doesn’t just happen when breastfeeding but anytime you hold your little Roo close. So next time you need that extra boost, hold that baby just a little longer!

all about mom
this is mY scar
An ode to all moms who have given birth by c-seCtion or vbac
”this is my scaR, one that i birthed a beaUtiful baby boy from.
This is my scar, one that i see in the mIrror everyday when i undress.
This is my scar, that has given me THEM utmost respect to all moms.”
”I had said earlier that He was completely random. No, god chose me to be Rycker's mommy. God wanted me to let everyone know that my situation can happen to anyone. He wanted me to let people know that they don't have to look down upon this disorder or sweep it under the rug. I know people just might not be educated as to what Down syndrome is. It is my goal to educate people,to teach people, to help them understand my son is just as normal as you and I.
